On Thanksgiving-day weekend, trademarks were filed for a new professional wrestling promotion called All Elite Wrestling. A non-WWE wrestling story taking the world of professional wrestling by storm is uncommon, but the rumored promotion is closely linked to popular independent wrestlers such as Cody Rhodes, the Young Bucks and Kenny Omega, who are collectively known as The Elite. The trademarks filed included All Elite Wrestling, AEW, AEW Double or Nothing, Double or Nothing, AEW All out and Tuesday Night Dynamite. The last trademark is perhaps most interesting, as Smackdown Live is slated to shift from Tuesday to Friday nights in 2019. The fledgling promotion seems intriguing and must have caught the attention of WWE’s current roster, so let’s check out 5 WWE wrestlers that can sign with AEW.
