CWA (Memphis) Championship Wrestling-November 4, 1989 (Lawler Starts Turning Heel)

Today’s action begins with a Kevin Dillinger (Alan Martin) interview before his match vs. Sean Regal, followed by a local promo with Bill Superstar Dundee/Dirty Dutch Mantell (aka Zeb Colter), along with a Dirty White Boy interview before his match vs. Tim Hall, then he comes back out and defeats the imposter Freddy (Kevin Dillinger), which brings out the real Freddy (Tommy Gilbert). Next up is the Soultaker (aka Papa Shango/Godfather) with Nate the Rat vs. Big O., along with footage of Ronnie P. firing Mark Starr. Gossett mentions the fact that Starr and Champion are brothers.

Jerry The King Lawler begins his first heel turn in over a decade with this interview, which brings out Dirty Dutch Mantell and Bill Superstar Dundee. The turn will play out over the next few weeks before it solidifies. This entire heel run has been documented by MemphoWrasslin1 in his BadKing!! clips, and I encourage you to check out his channel.

Next up are Mid-South Coliseum highlights of the Violator vs. Dustin Rhodes (aka Goldust)
