In 1986, Jim Crockett Promotions partnered with Mid-South Wrestling to debut The Crockett Cup Team Team Tournament. Now, thirty-three years later, the event pitted over 18 teams vying for the ultimate prize plus the return of the NWA World Tag Team Championships.
The 2019 version featured talents from New Japan Pro Wrestling, CMLL, Ring of Honor and the NWA.
The event also featured a giant main event of Marty Scurll vs. Nick Aldis for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship (aka Ten Pounds Of Gold).
