Nick Aldis wanted to team with Marty Scurll at the Crockett Cup 2019 in Concord, NC but the Villain had different plans. Marty instead of forming a tag team with Aldis instead wanted to face him for the NWA Worlds Heavyweight Championship (aka The Ten Pounds of Gold). Nick Aldis used the term seize the day and Marty got his NWA Title Match at #CrockettCup.

Since that day, Marty Scurll has been busy including announcing before the Ring of Honor 17th Anniversary show that he’ll be cashing in his Survival of the Fittest Title shot at Madison Square Garden and the G1 Supercard show. It’ll be Marty Scurll vs. Matt Taven vs. Jay Lethal for the ROH World Championship in a ladder match.
